Ransome wrote Aladdin in the winter of 1913 – 14, at the same time that he was writing The Blue Treacle. He signed a contract with Nisbet and Co in December, 1914. Publication was then delayed for five years by the war and Ransome’s frequent absence from Britain.

Synopsis

Aladdin is a children’s book in rhymed verse.
